Join us for an adventure of a lifetime to South Africa. This trip will be an amazing experience combining diving the East Coast of South Africa, Zulu culture and jaw dropping Big 5 Game Safari Reserve.

Our adventure begins in Umkomas. We will be staying at a wonderful little bed and breakfast, Shark and Shoal. Located in the heart of South Africa’s diving region the world renowned Aliwal Shoal just off Umkomas’ beaches. You will not want to miss the shark diving, wrecks and reefs located in this area.

From Umkomas, we travel by land to Gooderson DumaZulu Traditional Zulu Village situated in the heart of Zululand near Hluhluwe. We will make a visit to a traditional Zulu Village. Watch as locals make spears, shields, baskets and clay pots. Experience the rhythmic drumbeat and dance of Africa. Taste Zulu beer.

Next is Emdoneni Cheetah Project to visit their Cheetah’s, the fastest land animal. You will have an opportunity for a picture and may get to actually pet a Cheetah!

More diving and your first stay in a tented camp at Rocktail Bay Lodge. These tents offer private accommodations with hardwood floors, full bathrooms and semi-open air showers offering amazing views of the forest and ocean below. Amazing diving, a Rhino watching tour, monkeys, birds and more.

For our final three nights, we will be staying at a private Big 5 Game Reserve, Thanda Safari Lodge. Encounter the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo). With 30,000 acres to explore, you’ll see diverse wildlife including cheetah, hyena, warthog and the occasional wild dog, as well as abundant bird and plant life. Thanda Safari Lodge is known for its beautiful bush suites. Shaped like a traditional Zulu homestead, the 2,400 sq. ft. suites have panoramic views of the surrounding game reserve. Each suite has a spacious lounge and majestic master bedroom and double-sided fireplace as well as indoor and outdoor showers.
