Built in 2003, Midwest Aquatics Swim and Scuba Center is a state-of-the-art teaching facility. Open year-round, the enclosed pool is environmentally controlled by a Dectron Dehumidifier. It controls the humidity and heats pool water with recycled energy. Because the humidity is controlled; this means that you will not smell the pool chemicals throughout the year. This unit provides for heating during the winter months and provides for air conditioning during the summer months. This provides for your total comfort for the entire year.
Our pool is a 30 feet X 50 foot. For children, it is designed for easy access with stairs across the entire length of one side. We have a lift for Handicapped individuals. We have even designed benches in the side of the pool for children to sit on during their instruction. For the Scuba diver, we have a 14-foot depth to simulate a real live dive. The pool water is kept at a warm and toasty 84-86 degrees, which keeps children/adults comfortable and helps maintain concentration, enthusiasm, and over all helps everyone swimming to remain healthy.
We also have an observation room to watch your child's lesson. We encourage you to watch your child's progression. There is a window that is mirrored in this room. Children cannot see their parents through this window. Please do not enter the pool area even if your child calls for you. This only makes it more difficult to hold the child's attention and disrupts the other classes.
