Fiji - August 31 - September 9, 2006

Fiji is a beautiful land made up of aquamarine lagoons, lush rainforests, mountains and a 1000 miles of white, sandy beaches. Fiji is made up of over 300 islands, scattered across 200,000 square miles of ocean and laced with coral reefs amid tropical waters and drenched with natural beauty. The larger of the islands were formed from volcanoes and the smaller ones are coral, limestone or sand cays.

People on Fiji are a mixture of Polynesian, Melanesian Micronesian, Indian, Chinese and European culture. For nearly 50 years, until the military coup of 1987, the indigenous people of Fiji represented an ethnic minority in their own land.

Wananavu Resort is located on a headland overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Pacific. Kai Viti Divers will pick you up in the resort’s marina. The resort offers a swimming pool, large ocean view deck for dinning, and tennis court. Spectacular reef and sunset scenes from the bures/villas and Restaurant are unparalleled.

The diving offers pristine diving adventures in the renowned Bligh Waters. These waters have been the live aboard premier dive area in Fiji. Two and three tank dives will provide you with an incredible variety of sea life all from a land based dive facility. From the tiniest of creatures to pelagics, from hard coral to hanging soft coral gardens, your experience will be one of awe and excitement.

You will be diving from a 40 foot or a 35 foot jet boats will quickly and comfortably transport you to one of the many explored and unexplored dive sites in the Vatu-I-Ra Passage. Our vessels have an ample supply of water for fresh showers after a day of diving, a head for your convenience, and roomy underwater camera staging area.
